Guest Blogger #1

Today we have a guest blogger. He is one of the people that I'm staying with during my vacation.

Hello! I am the guest blogger, mentioned above. My friend/second-cousin from the state of Michigan is staying at my house in New Jersey. Today is the first day that he is staying over. So far, we have been playing a game of the board game Risk. I won the game and destroyed my brother in the game. We are planning to go to the pool today. Well, I will post later today and tell you what we did during the day.

Things I'm Looking Forward To

For the rest of Saturday, we went out to eat and when we got back, we watched Extremely Loud and Incredibly Close. The movie was pretty good and we enjoyed it a bunch.

Sunday was cool too because we hung out and I had a pickup game for my soccer team and it was pretty cool! On the way back, we picked up pizza and watched A Dolphin Tale while we ate and it was another good movie that I would watch again.

For Monday and Tuesday, I've been hanging out, really looking forward to going on my two trips. But also, I'm really looking forward to Thursday, when we go to the theaters and watch all of the Batman movies in a row, all leading up to the new one, the Dark Knight Rises.

So, I've got a lot to look forward to. Let me know in the comments section things that you're looking forward to and I'll be happy to respond!

Catching Up

Wednesday

Today we hung out and I practiced my juggling for my soccer season and I got 22 juggles! I finished up my books from the library from last week and my sister and I played 2 games of monopoly and she beat me both times. Then at 3:00 we went to the pool and I brought my friend from the barbecue. We swam until around 5:30 and then we left and since it was 7/11 day we got free slurpees! Mine was lemon creme and it was really good! My dad and I then hung out and I went to bed.

Thursday

Today, my sister and I played some monopoly and we ran some errands until my mom left with a friend for some lunch. While she was gone, we played monopoly and read some more books. When she got back, she took my sister to a friend's house and then my mom and I left for the library. I got five books instead of the normal 4 and I got a really cool video game, but as it turns out the disk was scratched up, so I couldn't play it. Then at 5:00 we picked up my sister and drove her to cheer. Then, we went to my running practice and I ran 2 miles and this time 2 additional kids were there other then me and the coach's son. It sure was a workout! Then we had a good dinner and got to bed.

Friday

Today was my mom's birthday! I ran a little over a mile with my dad at the regular course before he left for work and for the rest of the day, I got my chores done, got a juggling high score of 12, and downloaded some new stuff onto my Nintendo 3DS! We hung out until dinner and we ate at Brann's and the food was really good! We then headed off to Family Video and we got a bunch of movies. When we got home, we sat down and watched Soul Surfer and then we went to bed.

Saturday

Today, we hung around out of the house a lot for my mom's birthday weekend and we ate lunch out too. Then, we came home and read some books. Then, we played some monopoly and I did some soccer research.

The Barbeque and More

The barbecue was great! It ended up starting around 4:00 and we played air hockey, had a water balloon fight, played hockey on the Xbox and finally for the last four hours we played a really fun game called, Legend of Zelda Skyward Sword. Here's a little bit about it:

In this game, Link wins the ceremony and he and Zelda are flying together, when all of the sudden a giant black tornado sucks Zelda up and Link goes on a journey to save Zelda and to stop the giant demon!

Then, we went home and went to bed. The next day, we ran errands and I read books. Then today, I've been hanging out and can't wait to go on my trips this summer!

Swimming, Errands, and Requirements

Luckily, this morning I woke up without any sign of a headache and it was great! I watched a little bit of a movie with my mom and then read more of Bad Boy because it's part of the required summer reading for next year. Then, we ran some errands and when we got back, I read Bad Boy all the way through, so now I've finished one of the two books I have to read, which is good. We are planning to go to the pool today and we are doing a barbecue with our friends tomorrow at two. So heat it up!

The Past Two Days

After the run, I hung around until we left for my 3:00 doctor's appointment. It all went great, although I did have to have 3 shots, but that means I don't need shots next time! Anyway, after the appointment, we did our Thursday library trip and as usual, I got four books, but this time in addition, I got a game I really wanted. However, what I didn't realize is that to play the game, you need  to buy a special attachment, which really stinks, but I got some good books while I was there. So, everything is good. After that we hung around until we ate a yummy dinner of pasta with sauce, watermelon and ugh, cucumbers. Then, we went upstairs and watched a movie called October Sky which is based on a true story about a boy who becomes interested in rockets and he and his friends try to win the National Science Fair.

This morning, though, I woke up feeling crummy and sick and for the past 8 hours, I've been relaxing by watching TV and reading. My headache should be gone by tomorrow and I am looking forward to doing something fun tomorrow!

Fourth of July 2012 and More

Yesterday was amazing! My dad and I went on a run around 12:00 and I practiced my soccer skills. My juggling record is 15 and we also did some math to improve my skills. My sister and I made bracelets and we are each wearing 4 right now. Here's what one looks like:

Cool, huh? Well afterwards, at 6:00 we left for our friends' house for the 4th of July and we had a great time! We ate dessert, hot dogs, and chips. We played hide and go seek, dodge ball, and Apples to Apples. We left at around 11:30 and went straight to bed. I love the 4th of July!

This morning I woke up at 9:30 and left for my run. I ran for 3.40 miles on a cross country course, boy was it tough! Okay ill post again today.

My Afternoon

After we got back from golfing, I hung around reading a book I am interested in called The Extraordinary Education of Nicholas Benedict and it's a really good book! Here's the cover and a quick summary:

Nicholas Benedict goes to an orphanage called Rothschild End which is full of enemies, but also he meets two friends: John and Violet. Nicholas has an amazing memory! He can read a book in ten minutes and remember it word for word. Unfortunately, he has a condition called narcolepsy which means he falls asleep at random parts in his day. Nicholas and his friends go on an adventure to find the treasure left behind by the wealthy Rothschild family.

Interesting book, huh? Anyway my dad and I then went running and we ran 1.33 miles. Our goal is to be able to do 3 miles every day. It's a tough goal for both of us, but we'll get it if we try! we're planning to eat out with our friends tonight and I'll have another post tomorrow.

Bushwood Golf

So today we planned to get up at 7:15, but around 6:00, I heard a huge thunderclap and then it started pouring rain. I was afraid my dad had cancelled, but he got me up at 7:15. We got dressed and left the house at 7:30. By now it had stopped raining, but it was still cloudy. With a few minutes to go, it started to rain again and by the time we arrived we were both afraid we wouldn't be able to golf. However, the guy said that we would be fine and at 8:20 we were ready to go! We did all 9 holes and my dad and I hit it in the water a lot, but overall we did a pretty good job and I had one really good putt! We both had a great time and I hope we can go again soon! Okay i'll post again today.

We Get to Golf Tomorrow!

I'm going to Bushwood Golf in Northville tomorrow. We tee off at 8:30, so we have to get up at 7:30. Wish me luck!

All About Me

Welcome to my mind, everything on this blog will be about me: what i've been doing, things about me, and things that I like. For starters, I love to read!! I read all sorts of books: mysteries, adventures, sci-fi, you name it! Here's a book I just finished that I find very interesting:

It's about Seamus Finkle who is sent to a reform school called Kilter Academy after throwing an apple in a food fight and accidently killing his subsitute teacher. As it turns out, Kilter Academy is not a reform school, in fact it's a school that teaches you how to be a troublemaker. As Seamus Finkle rises above the other students in his class, he learns that some friends are always there for you.
Another thing I love is summer and im sure you do too!

My summer has been great so far! The day after school got out, I was whisked to Ohio to spend the weekend with my grandparents and it was awesome! The highlight of my first vacation was when we saw Madagascar 3, it's a must see! They took me back and since then I have gone to the pool many times, enjoyed a week of VBS, and have gone to my friend's house twice. I have hung out with my sister and done many other interesting things. Quick joke, I found it on deepest feelings.com:

One summer afternoon, a guy walking along the beach finds a bottle . He pulls out the cork, and a genie appears and tells him he has three wishes. "But," the genie says, "I have to warn you, whatever you receive, your worst enemy will get twice as much as you."

"OK," says the guy, "first, I want ten million dollars." The genie grants the wish and reminds him that his worst enemy now has twenty million dollars.

"Next wish, I want a thirty-room mansion in the Bahamas." The genie builds the mansion for him, and lets him know that his worst enemy now has a home twice as big.

"Fine. For the last wish," the guy picks up a big stick and hands it to the genie, "beat me HALF to death."
Okay i'll get back to you later. Check for new posts.
